Rev. Ron Evan Nelson, Associate Pastor, was born in Greensboro, NC, and was raised in Raleigh-Durham and Mooresville. He grew up in the Presbyterian Church and was actively involved in youth activities of First Presbyterian Church in Mooresville. After graduating in 1988 from the University of North Carolina Chapel Hill with a BS degree in pharmacy, he practiced pharmacy for two years before going to Columbia Theological Seminary in Decatur, GA. He graduated from seminary on May 23, 1993. Ron has served Selwyn Avenue Presbyterian Church (Charlotte) and Sharon as the Interim Director of Youth and Christian Education. He became Associate Pastor of Christian Education at Sharon on March 26, 1995. Ron enjoys basketball, swimming, and camping. Ron and his wife, Lisa, are the parents of daughters Audra and Aspen.
