Faith Seeking Understanding: A Series of Theological Conversations - October 15th, 4-5:30pm, Seminary Chapel
In some sense, ever since God’s people reached the other side of the Red Sea and gathered in an Upper Room in Jerusalem, we have been re-forming, or being re-formed. Nonetheless, events 500 years ago have been labeled “The Reformation”. Depending on our context, these events have been both celebrated and mourned. How do we think about these events, and their repercussions today – especially across the line of Protestant and Catholic? Come join us for a personal conversation as two friends, Rev. Dr. Richard Boyce; Academic Dean Union Presbyterian Seminary and Abbot Placid Solari; Chancellor of Belmont Abbey College, begin a community dialogue on such questions as: How has the Reformation blessed the world-wide church? How has the Reformation harmed the world-wide church? Where in the church is further reformation needed. Reservations requested but not required. Contact Nadine Moran 980.636.1661 or

Responding to a Generous God - October 8th –October 29th
Stewardship season is an important time in the life of our church. It is a time to consider the giving of our time, talent and financial resources to Christ’s work through Sharon Presbyterian Church. How should we respond to God’s generosity to us? This is an intensely personal and sometimes difficult question. Beginning October 8th, you are invited to participate in a time of worship, study and prayer as we consider our gifts to the church. Commitment Sunday will be on October 29th at both worship services. Please mark your calendar for this exciting and important day in the life of our congregation.
