We are a people of community supporting each other in faith, in all aspects of life.  The body of Christ, the church, is critical to strengthening faith and growing on our spiritual journey.

Monthly Sunday Night Live
Second Sunday of the month;  5:45-6:30pm, Activity Bldg
$8 adult  |  $4 child

A monthly fellowship evening, with dinner and often special themes, classes or activities that combine study, service, and fun.  Timing often coincide with Youth activities, children's choir, and other individual adult groups so you can make an evening of it.  A grat way to relax Sunday evening and prepare yourself for the week.  Note:  date can shift based on holiday schedules.  Watch for upcoming event details in announcements, and contact the church office with questions.  RESERVATIONS AND PAYMENT due in advance.


Senior Bridge Group
Thursdays 1-3:00pm, Activity Bldg Parlor.
A weekly game of fun. Varying ability levels.  We play right through summer and vacation times, so call and join us any time.   Contact Catherine Deal for information and to reserve your seat.  704-366-9462.


Summer Softball League

Sharon is a decade-long member of the South Charlotte Church softball league, which supports up to 32 teams, from beginner to competitive.  With nearly 2 dozen players of all age brackets and levels, there is a place for every adult.  Season is from June through August, games on Fridays and Mondays on ball fields across Charlotte.

Join the fan club!  See announcements for home schedule.  Bring a lawn chair and settle down to cheer the team.

Pilates

A combination of barre, pilates, and deep stretching  instructed by Lisa Mason.  Lisa is a member here at Sharon and has taught Group Exercise at the Harris Y for twenty-one years.  Please contact Lisa at masonlisa9370@gmail.com for more information.  


Sewing & Knitting Group
2nd & 4th Wednesday of each Month,  4-6:00pm, Activity Bldg Rm 1
Sunday Night Live, 4:30-6pm

PAT (Providing a Treasure) Sewing Ministry:  Sew baby gowns for stillborn infants.  
Prayer Shawl Knitting Ministry:  Knit prayer shawls to be shared with those experiencing grief or distress.

Functional Balance Exercise Class
Mondays & Wednesdays 1:00-2:00pm, Activity Bldg
Cost:  $5 per class (first class FREE)

New!  Starting August 1st. Functional fitness class for aging bodies.  Taught by instructor Suzi Rosen, a licensed physical therapist.
Functional fitness training helps slow aging-related loss of mobility and are developed to help restore your body back to how it was designed to move.  You will get 55 minutes of efficient, quality functional movements that will enhance not only the “trouble areas” but also it will nourish your spine, revitalize your postural muscles and strengthen your core and place a lot of emphasis on balance training. You will leave the class feeling as if you have been challenged in every way; feeling refreshed and re-energized as your metabolism speeds up and your posture, strength and flexibility all improve.

Empty Nesters and Beyond!
11:30am, Quaterly Luncheon, Activity Bldg

All empty nesters are invited for fellowship, food, and usually lively entertainment.  Watch the church bulletin for the next one’s menu and special entertainment.  Empty Nesters and Beyond collects canned goods for Loaves and Fishes at each event.
