Kids Learn & Grow
He called a little child to him, and placed the child among them. And he said: “Truly I tell you, unless you change and become like little children, you will never enter the kingdom of heaven. Therefore, whoever takes the lowly position of this child is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven. And whoever welcomes one such child in my name welcomes me.  Matthew 18:2-5

Vacation Bible School
Summer brings the sounds of laughter, singing, and loads of fun with Vacation Bible School. This is a wonderful opportunity for our children as well as adults to fellowship together and have a lot of fun while learning about Jesus' love for us all. Our program at Sharon has grown in the past few years to around 150 children and at least 100 volunteers. This year the Teaching Committee is trying something different by hosting Vacation Bible School August 12th - 16th. We hope that by holding VBS late in the summer, it will allow us to reach children of the community that have previously not been able to attend. We hope that this year will be the biggest and best VBS yet!  We will need lots of volunteer help to aid our committee and this year’s VBS Director Lauren Wheatley. Mark your calendars and look for more registration information to come soon! Questions, call the church office at 704-553-0869.
Communicants' Class
Each spring, our church holds a Communicants’ Class for children in the 7-8 year old age range (or older) and their parents. The purpose of the Communicants’ Class is to introduce the meaning and significance of the Lord’s Supper to the children. During our time together, the children and their parents participate in four different learning centers and visit the sacristy. Participants will have the opportunity to ask questions about the sacraments, and some additional resources that may be used at home are introduced. At the end of the afternoon, each child meets with an elder to discuss his or her understanding of the Lord’s Supper. After receiving the approval of the Session, the children are formally welcomed to the table at a designated service.

For children ages 4 through grade 5.  Get ready for FUN!  Together, we learn about music through playing instruments and singing at our weekly rehearsals.  We lead music worship at the 10:30 Sunday service about once a month.  And most importantly, we build relationships with one another and form community with God at our center.  Feel free to bring a friend!  Contact: Kiki Neale, Director of Youth Music, kiki@sharonpcusa.org.
