Children in the 1st - 5th grades gather in the Temple for music, brief review of current story, and prayer requests. Workshops include Storytelling, Drama and Puppets, Cooking and Hospitality, Art, and Games. A bulletin board is located on the ground floor (upon entering the building from the Education Building side) that has a current Workshop Rotation schedule. It allows parents and students to see which workshop they will attend on a particular Sunday.

Communicants' Class
Each spring, our church holds a Communicants’ Class for children in the 7-8 year old age range (or older) and their parents. The purpose of the Communicants’ Class is to introduce the meaning and significance of the Lord’s Supper to the children. During our time together, the children and their parents participate in four different learning centers and visit the sacristy. Participants will have the opportunity to ask questions about the sacraments, and some additional resources that may be used at home are introduced. At the end of the afternoon, each child meets with an elder to discuss his or her understanding of the Lord’s Supper. After receiving the approval of the Session, the children are formally welcomed to the table at a designated service.
Vacation Bible School
Summer brings the sounds of laughter, singing, and loads of fun with Vacation Bible School. This is a wonderful opportunity for our children as well as adults to fellowship together and have a lot of fun while learning about Jesus' love for us all. Our program at Sharon has grown in the past few years to around 150 children and at least 100 volunteers.
