Mission

Celebrating Christ's gift of salvation, our grateful worship of God guides the three-fold mission of Sharon Presbyterian church:  Invite All Seekers,  Teach the Gospel,  and Serve Human Need.

A little bit about Sharon Presbyterian

Sharon Presbyterian Church was established in 1831, founded at the same time the Sharon community now known as Southpark, was formed.  Sharon Presbyterian functioned as the center of this neighborhood from its beginning.   Whatever you needed, you came to here for it – whether it was a flu shot, or a dose of fun.  Sharon Presbyterian has always been an integral part of this community’s family tree.  Today we continue that heritage with support across a wide spectrum.

Our congregation is made up of approximately 900 members, ranging from young families to senior citizens.  Therefore, the campus is a busy one, with activities almost daily for children, youth, busy adults, empty nesters, and every life stage in between. Located in the Southpark area of Charlotte, we offer a connection to a vibrant community interested in all aspects of their lives - music, health, spiritual exploration, and a connection that often feels like a second family.
