Our church and most other churches seem strangely silent when it comes to asking church members to consider a “planned gift.” It is our prayer that our congregation will build on the strong foundation of the past and begin to think about this form of stewardship in a new way.
There is a saying that we are reminded daily that we drink from wells we did not dig and feast from vineyards we did not plant—but someone did. Since the church was founded in 1831, those who have gone before us offered their time, talents and treasure to join God’s transforming work in the world through our church’s missions and ministries.
