As a recipient and steward of God’s bountiful gifts, you have an obligation and opportunity to share and return those gifts, providing support to God’s church and ministries beyond your lifetime.

Planned Giving

We hope when you explore the planned giving pages on this website you will be prompted to prayerfully consider how you might support the work of Sharon Presbyterian Church during the course of your lifetime and beyond. Our church and most other churches seem strangely silent when it comes to asking church members to consider a “planned gift.” It is our prayer that our congregation will build on the strong foundation of the past and begin to think about this form of stewardship in a new way.

There is a saying that we are reminded daily that we drink from wells we did not dig and feast from vineyards we did not plant—but someone did. Since the church was founded in 1831, those who have gone before us offered their time, talents and treasure to join God’s transforming work in the world through our church’s missions and ministries.

Like those who came before us, our calling is to recognize that we have been blessed to be a blessing to the generations who will follow us.  One of the ways you can be faithful in this call is through a planned gift.  To accomplish this, you must take the first step …
