Philosophy & Mission
Established in 1957, the purpose of Sharon Presbyterian Weekday School is to convey God’s love, as it is revealed to us through Jesus Christ, to young children by providing an environment which encourages their developmental growth: physically, mentally, spiritually, socially and emotionally.
This is accomplished through a program of Christian nurture which is implemented by a staff who views all people — children, youth and adults — as being created by God and recipients of God’s love. Preschool children are enabled to reach their full potential when they are offered opportunities through which they are able to experience being understood and loved.
The program format of the Weekday School provides such opportunities. The staff encourages each child’s developmental process by modeling Christian principles while creating a multitude of learning experiences.

About Us
We seek to provide the highest quality early childhood education from one-year-old-and-walking to Transitional Kindergarten (TK). Our play-based curriculum is developmentally appropriate to ensure that children learn and grow. We are so proud of our caring, experienced staff and are committed to having co-teachers in all classes. As a ministry of the church, we foster an environment in which children are encouraged to grow into their in their identity as a child of God. We do this through daily bible stories, prayers at lunch, regular chapel time, and faith-based music in our classrooms. Our school day runs from 9:25 a.m. - 12:50 p.m. and starts and ends with carpool.
Classroom Options
We have 2-day options for toddlers. We offer 2, 3, and 5-day options for twos and threes; 3, 4, and 5-day options for fours; and TK for 4 and 5 year olds 5 days a week. Tuition varies by program and class. Tuition is payable monthly or through installments. We offer electronic payment options that make payment a breeze.
Communication
Engaged parents are at the heart of thriving children. To support that engagement, we communicate often with our parents. Monthly, we send out a school-wide newsletter. Weekly, teachers communicate their lesson plans and class activities. We also share periodic event-based communication to ensure parents are connected to the school and their child’s day. We also host annual scheduled parent/teacher conferences and encourage open communication between teachers and families.
Annual Activities
SPWS is excited to host our annual summer camp July 11th - August 3rd, 2023. Join us every Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday from 9:25 a.m. - 12:50 p.m. as we explore our world through Active Fun. We will have tons of summer activities, crafts and more! Registration begins February 1, 2023. All fees are due by May and there are no refunds.
How to Register
We would love to have your family join our preschool. Forms can be returned via mail or dropping off in-person during school hours. Please note that we are a secure school and request ID for all visitors.
