The Union Presbytery Seminary

The  Union Presbytery Seminar is seeking lay volunteers from Sharon Church to provide feedback for student practice sermons, Saturdays Febuary through early April.  The students will be using our Sanctuary and Chapel to practice delivering sermons, and we have the opportunity to be their "congregation", and hear many great sermons.

Sermons and feedback will be scheduled in 1 1/2 hour increments, between the hours of 8:30am and 5:00pm, at your convenience.

Union Presbyterian Seminary equips Christian leaders for ministry in the world — a sacred vocation that requires deep learning, commitment to service, and an ability to read culture and circumstance in the light of the rich resources of Scripture and theological tradition.

The seminary's core mission is to participate in the mission of the church by forming and equipping leaders for the work of ministry, for building up the body of Christ (Eph 4:12).

One of Union Presbyterian Seminary’s two campuses is located in a newly built, state-of-the-art facility at 5141 Sharon Road on the campus of Sharon Presbyterian Church. The curriculum at Union Presbyterian Seminary in Charlotte is designed especially for second-career students who continue full or part-time work while pursuing theological study.
