Homeless shelter meals
Members and friends of Sharon Church prepare and serve the evening meal at the Men’s Shelter of Charlotte – Tryon Street Campus and the Salvation Army Center of Hope for women and children the last Saturday of every month. Volunteers bring meat loaves, biscuits, cakes, and pies; mashed potatoes, gravy, and beans are prepared by church members at the shelter. Volunteers serve the meal at both shelters.
In addition, Sharon Church volunteers prepare and serve a beef stew meal at the Men’s Shelter of Charlotte – Statesville Avenue Campus the first Tuesday night of each month. Volunteers are needed to heat the stew, make sheet cakes, and serve the meal at the shelter.
