In 2022, Sharon Presbyterian formed a partnership to support Assist M.E.'s vital mission. Dedicated to serving the greater Charlotte community, Assist M.E. provides high-quality medical and mobility equipment to help individuals regain independence and improve their quality of life.
About
Established in 2014, Assist M.E. collects gently used medical and mobility equipment to redistribute it to uninsured or underinsured patients in the Charlotte, NC area—ensuring they have access to essential resources often needed immediately after hospital discharge.
Serving human need is a major focus for Sharon Presbyterian's mission. We are committed to meeting human needs with compassion and care. Assist M.E. reminds us that mobility is more than movement—it’s independence, dignity, and the freedom to live fully. After all, without our health, everything else gets a little harder.
The Significance
Our Impact
- In 2024 alone, Assist M.E. received an incredible 1,952 donated items, with Sharon Presbyterian Church contributing hundreds of them.
- This meaningful support is made possible by the continued efforts of our Mission Committee, which hosts quarterly donation drives on our campus and actively recruits new partners to support Assist M.E.’s vital mission.
