Planned Giving

Planned gifts are investments that can safeguard the future growth and stability of Sharon Presbyterian Church, allowing the church to creatively take advantage of opportunities as they arise to further its ministries and mission.

What Is a Planned Gift?

Planned Giving is simply the term used when you plan ahead of time who receives your assets when you are alive or when you die and decide that charities you love should be included.

A planned gift is designed to provide future support for Sharon Presbyterian Church. A planned gift can either be:

  • A donation made after one’s death
  • through a direct bequest of money or property in a will by designating the church as a beneficiary of a life insurance policy
  • or retirement plan (e.g. 401k plan)

  • An immediate gift made outright during one’s lifetime to fund church activities using various vehicles such as a:
  • Funded endowment,
  • Gift Annuity
  • Charitable remainder trust.

You can use your gift to start something new for the church or to provide secure funding and resources for an existing church activity, ministry, or outreach effort that speaks to your heart.

Both types of gifts enable your generosity to make an impact on the mission, ministries, and future needs of the church.

When You Include Sharon Presbyterian Church in Your Planned Giving:
